Coffee with A Cop

Coffee with A Cop is a national program which began in Hawthorne, CA. The idea is to bring the community together with the Cortland Police department, in a relaxed setting and have conversations over a cup of coffee. Our next event will be December 15th, 2018.

Bicycle registration is free of charge and will begin once again in the spring of 2018. This program allows the police department to record your bicycles information in case of theft. A tamper proof sticker with registration number is then affixed to your bicycle.

Klondike Hunt

The first annual Klondike Hunt took place in Suggett Park in the summer of 2017. The event was a huge success with over 200 kids participating. This free event turns Suggett Park into the gold mining town of "Dawson City". Kids search the park for "gold" in which they must work together as a team and hope to find the Klondike. Over $1000 was raised for this event and given to charity.

Emergency Services Appreciation Day

Our first emergency services appreciation day took place in Suggett Park in September 2017. This free event allowed the community to meet Cortland's emergency providers. Local police, fire, paramedic and even LifeNet helicopter were all in attendance. The event had K9 demos, food for sale and raffles which raised $2000 for charity.

St. Baldrick's !!!

The Cortland Police Department's Deputy Chief is shaving his signature mustache!!

Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. I've had a mustache since I was 14, which is over 40 years!!! As a father of two healthy sons, I want to do something to help those fathers fighting to save their children. This is why I've decided to shave my mustache to raise funds for such a noble cause. If you know me, you know my mustache is extremely important to me and a bit of a conversation piece, so DONATE BIG and help these kids!!!!!!
